"There is no justifying terrorism," Mikhail Kamynin, the ministry's official spokesman said. "This is our opinion, and this line must be rigorously followed."
Kamynin warned Israel against unreasonable use of force, arbitrary actions, and measures that could aggravate the situation in the Palestinian territories.
The statement came several days after a special Israeli operation in Jenin, which killed a leader of extremist group Islamic Jihad, triggering Palestinian retaliatory attacks that left three dead and five wounded. Israel responded by suspending contacts with the PNA in coordinating security measures and by imposing restrictions on movement in Palestinian territories, although PNA President Mahmoud Abbas denounced the attacks.
"The parties must continue security interaction and comply with the agreements reached in Sharm-el-Sheikh in February to resume talks both on unresolved problems regarding disengagement and on political settlement on the basis of the road map," Kamynin said.
