MOSCOW, October 19 (RIA Novosti) - All political and ethnic groups in Iraq should be able to prepare for holding Parliamentary elections in the country, and provide sufficient representation for themselves in the government, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday.
After his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ali Aboul Gheit Wednesday, Lavrov said Russia and Egypt strongly agreed that the international community and Iraq's neighbors must make substantial contributions to stabilizing the situation in the country, and must support national dialogue.
"This is particularly important at the current stage, when parliamentary elections are to be held following the referendum on the Iraqi constitution," he said.
