BAKU, October 23 (RIA Novosti, Gerai Dadashev) - A Russian helicopter crashed on Saturday night in Azerbaijan, killing five crewmembers.
The Ka-32 helicopter, which was on route from Turkey to Pakistan via Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, crashed 180 kilometers to the west of the country's capital, Baku.
A spokesman for the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan said the helicopter crashed after it collided with electric power lines when landing.
"The fuel tanks were full and therefore it immediately caught on fire," he said.
All five Russian crewmembers died in the crash.
