MOSCOW, October 28 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Communist Party said Friday that the conclusions of UN investigators into the Oil-for-Food program about the party's leader Gennady Zyuganov's involvement in obtaining oil export quotas from the Saddam Hussein regime were false.
"This 'canard' has long been circulated. It is absolutely unsubstantiated," Zyuganov's aide Alexander Yushchenko said.
He said Zyuganov was meeting with the party's senior members and could not comment on the issue personally.
