NALCHIK, October 29 (RIA Novosti) - The funeral of Kabardino-Balkaria's first president Valery Kokov will take place on Sunday, a source at the republic's presidential administration said Saturday.
"Members of a special governmental commission decided that the funeral of the former president of Kabardino-Balkaria will take place on Sunday, at the House of Government, from 8:30 a.m. until midday Moscow time," the official said.
It has yet to be decided where the late head of the republic will be buried, he said.
Kokov, who ruled Kabardino-Balkaria for more than 14 years and stepped down in September 2005, died early Saturday in Moscow, after a long illness.
