"The prime minister has repeatedly said that Ukraine will continue negotiations [with the U.S.] on priority matters. One of the key priorities is the development of Ukrainian-U.S. relations, Ukraine's admission to the WTO, and granting it the status of a market economy country," the press service said.
Yekhanurov also intends to discuss Ukraine's graduation from the Jackson-Vanik amendment, the lifting of certain trade sanctions against Ukraine, and U.S. assistance for the country's further integration into the world economy.
On October 24, at a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine, Yekhanurov said that Ukraine "is counting on broad U.S. participation in the Black and Caspian Sea regional cooperation, especially in the economic and energy spheres."
The Ukrainian prime minister is to visit the United States on October 30 through November 4.
