MOSCOW, October 30 (RIA Novosti) - Five people including a five-year-old girl died in a house fire Saturday in Tomsk, Siberia, a local police source said Sunday.
The fire consumed a one-storey wooden house in the city's Oktyabrsky district.
The fire raged for an hour before firefighters managed to extinguish it. The home-owner has survived, and is being treated in hospital for poisoning from combustion gases.
Specialists suggest that the fire was started by lack of fire precautions when smoking.
