KIEV, November 1 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Roman Bezsmertny said Tuesday that exiled Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky had not financed Viktor Yushchenko's presidential campaign.
"There was and could be no financing," Bezsmertny, a leader of the Orange Revolution, said. "I did not take any money, and I have no obligations."
He admitted having visited Britain to consult with Berezovsky but said they had not discussed financial issues. The deputy prime minister added that his actions had not contradicted any legislation.
