VELIKY NOVGOROD, November 2 (RIA Novosti, Andrei Letyagin) - A fire that burned down a house in the Novgorod region (northwest Russia) killed at least four children Wednesday.
A spokesman for the regional emergency situations department said the fire had totally destroyed the wood house.
"The remains of adult residents of the house may be found later," he said, adding that they had not yet been seen alive in the neighborhood.
The spokesman also said a woman had been hospitalized with burns and injuries.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
