KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR, November 5 (RIA Novosti) -- Inflation in October was at 0.6%, hitting 9.2% since January 2005, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said Saturday. Responding to a question about the results of the government's anti-inflation package, Fradkov said: "I do not think that it can produce an immediate effect, but I am pleased to say that October inflation has edged down to 0.6%, less than in the same period last year." Fradkov described the president's directive to work out an anti-inflation package as "very serious." "It will include monetary and non-monetary measures, assuming sustained economic growth, which is a necessary condition to curb inflation," the prime minister stressed.
