2006 state defense order almost ready - prime minister

KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR, November 5 (RIA Novosti) - The government defense order for 2006 is almost ready, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said Saturday after a conference on military-industrial development. The Russian premier said the state defense order for next year had been increased. Talking about the state debt to defense industry enterprises, Fradkov stressed that the issue would be addressed, among other things by placing new contracts. "The Defense Ministry should focus on streamlining and funneling the available resources and assets into the most promising areas," the prime minister added.
