BAKU, November 6 (RIA Novosti) - President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliyev expressed hope Sunday that the day's elections would turn out well after what he called fair campaigning in the republic.
"The elections are taking place in a good atmosphere ...We gave equal opportunities to all the candidates in the electoral campaign, which was held at a high level. After the elections, we will continue transformations in the republic and will have to do much in the economy and other spheres to make the republic stronger. People believe in fair, normal and transparent elections and the outcome will reflect the people's will," Aliyev said.
Aliyev cast his vote on Sunday morning at Baku school No. 6, where he studied as a child.
