VILNIUS, November 9 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Vodo) - An aircraft carrying Lithuanian diplomats has been forced to make an emergency landing in Poland, the local Ziniu Radijas radio station reported Wednesday.
According to the news report, the plane operated by Poland's LOT airlines was on a regular domestic flight from Warsaw to Szczecinie, where the diplomats planned to watch Compact Eagle 2005 military exercises, involving Lithuanian servicemen.
The report said that the Lithuanian Ambassador to Poland Egidijus Meilunas, Lithuania's Consul General in Warsaw Genadijus Mackelis, and the German ambassador to Poland were on board the plane.
