The Rodina clip, which features several men from the Caucasus, a Slavic girl with a baby, and party leaders Dmitry Rogozin and Dmitry Popov, urges Muscovites "to clear rubbish from Moscow." The ad has been broadcasted on central Russian TV channel TVTs.
"The political fight is escalating before the elections," speaker Vladimir Platonov said. "Therefore, we are hearing slogans like 'Moscow for Muscovites' and 'Russia for Russians.'"
Commenting on proposals that would prohibit citizens of certain countries from entering Moscow, he said, "Such initiatives are a shame to us."
Platonov added that the migration problem in Moscow "could be solved without radical measures."
The Moscow Prosecutor's Office is expected to issue a ruling on the Rodina video Friday. If the video is not banned, it will continue to be shown on TVTs until December 2, the end of the election campaign.
