MOSCOW, November 10 (RIA Novosti) - A special working group discussed Uzbekistan's accession to the Eurasian Economic Community Thursday, the EurAsEC press service said.
"The first session proved that the sides are interested in effectively tackling all the issues and drafting all the documents needed for Uzbekistan's accession to EurAsEC," the press service quoted EurAsEC Secretary General Grigory Rapota as saying.
The working group comprises permanent representatives of EurAsEC member states - Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan - as well as experts of some ministries and departments. They are set to discuss procedures for Uzbekistan's accession.
Uzbekistan applied for accession in October 2005.
