ASTANA, November 11 (RIA Novosti) - Kazakhstan is planning to sign a partnership action plan with NATO in the near future, a defense ministry official said Friday.
"NATO experts discussed with Kazakh officials the contents of the Individual Partnership Action Plan," the official said. "The sides confirmed readiness to prepare the plan for signing."
The plan outlines a wide range of cooperation issues, including regional and global security, reform of Kazakhstan's armed forces, the fight against terrorism and drug-trafficking, and exchange in the spheres of science, ecology, and education.
A NATO delegation visited the Central Asian republic November 9-11.
