MOSCOW, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Communists (KPRF) have started a signature-raising campaign for a petition to protect of the Lenin Mausoleum and the Kremlin Wall Necropolis on Red Square in downtown Moscow.
Saturday morning, a group of Communist activists staged a picket outside the former Lenin Museum. A total of about 30 KPRF sympathizers gathered near the museum. The picket began at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time with nine people signing the petition in the following 30 minutes.
Yevgeny Dorovin, secretary of the KPRF Moscow city committee, said the signature-raising campaign would be conducted by KPRF regional chapters throughout Russia. He added that the picket outside the former Lenin Museum would be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Moscow time every day.
