MOSCOW, November 14 (RIA Novosti) - The net profit of Russian mobile phone operator MTS during the first nine months of 2005 totaled $412 million by Russian accounting standards, up 4.18% year-on-year, the company said Monday.
The company's revenue during the first nine months hit $1.89 billion, up 24.48% year-on-year.
Gross earnings during the period totaled $1.19 billion, up 22.6%, while pre-tax profit climbed 9.5% to $579.74 million.
Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) is Russia's largest mobile phone operator. The company and its subsidiaries have over 52.4 million customers in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
