MOSCOW, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian natural gas monopoly Gazprom said Tuesday that its consolidated net profit in the first nine months of 2005 had grown 30.6% year on year reaching 133.5 billion rubles ($4.63 billion), according to the Russian Accounting Standard (RAS).
Gazprom's revenue in the same period totaled 870.8 billion rubles ($30.2 billion), up 38.2% year on year, with natural gas sales revenue aggregating 678.8 billion rubles ($23.6 billion), up 36.5% year on year.
Gross profit during the period was up 39.7% at 558.8 billion rubles ($19.4 billion) and sales profit up 62% at 228.1 billion rubles ($7.9 billion), with pre-tax income growing by 44.4% to 191.9 billion rubles ($6.7 billion).
