MOSCOW, November 17 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Federal Mortgage Agency plans to issue its first mortgage-backed securities in the first quarter of 2006, the agency's director general said Thursday.
Dmitry Glazunov said: "We hope to complete the first issue of securities at the beginning of next year, probably in the first quarter."
However, certain minor, technical amendments first need to be made to the law on mortgage-backed securities he said.
The amendments are planned to be made by the beginning of 2006.
