GENEVA, November 17 (RIA Novosti, Yekaterina Andrianova) - The four vehicles transporting a $1 billion collection of paintings from Moscow's Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts left Geneva after being impounded Wednesday by local authorities, and will pass through Germany on their way to Russia, a source in Geneva said Thursday.
The source said the trucks would cross the Swiss border near Basel, and head to a transportation company's headquarters in the German city of Cologne.
Dmitry Mezhaurov, the Russian consul general to Geneva, refused to specify the truck's route for security reasons.
