SAMSUN (Turkey), November 17 (RIA Novosti) - Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish and Italian prime ministers Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Silvio Berlusconi started in the Turkish city of Samsun Thursday.

The three leaders will discuss cooperation in the spheres of energy, the fight against terrorism and crime, Iran, and Cyprus, a Russian presidential aide said.

Sergei Prikhodko said the talks would focus on "prospects for international energy cooperation, as well as the most important international and regional problems."

The aide added that interaction targeting crime and terrorism in the Black Sea and Mediterranean would also be discussed.
