SAMSUN (Turkey), November 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russian natural gas monopoly Gazprom and Italian oil and natural gas major ENI will sign an agreement on Russian natural gas supplies to Italy within 15 days, ENI Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said Thursday after talks with Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller.
Alexander Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Gazprom, said the memorandum of cooperation included interaction in the oil, natural gas, and power energy sectors.
He said Italy was interested in joint oil projects with Russia. "In particular, the possibility to exchange Russian pipeline gas for Italian liquefied gas was discussed," Medvedev added.
The parties also discussed the possibility of Gazprom participation in economic projects in Italy.
