Russian oil production up 2.2% in 9M05

MOSCOW, November 17 (RIA Novosti) - Oil production in Russia in the January-September 2005 period totaled 349.1 million metric tons, which is 2.2% higher against the same period in 2004, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said Thursday.

Domestic market oil sales during the same period totaled 153.3 million tons, i.e. 6% higher year on year.

Oil exports decreased by 1.5% year on year totaling 188.6 million tons. The export share in total oil production amounted to 54%.

The average real export price on oil in September 2005 was $398.7 per ton (a 3.5% gain on August 2005). The September world price on Urals blend oil was $425.6 per ton (a 0.7% slide on August 2005).
