MOSCOW, November 17 (RIA Novosti) - Four people have been killed and two seriously injured in a Mi-2 helicopter crash in the northwestern region of Vologda, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said Thursday.
The helicopter crashed when it was flying over the Ukhta-Torzhok natural gas pipeline.
A local official with the Emergency Situations Ministry said the co-pilot had been hospitalized.
"The first pilot of the helicopter and three oil company officials who had been inspecting the gas pipeline were killed," he said, adding that the helicopter had not damaged the surrounding area.
Rescuers, policemen, and representatives of the prosecutor's office and air services are working at the crash site.
