TBILISI, November 17 (RIA Novosti, Marina Kvaratskhelia) - The Russian Embassy in Georgia does not have "black lists" of Georgian politicians, the Russian ambassador to Georgia said Thursday.
"I want to say flatly that there are no 'black lists' in regard to any Georgian politician and there can't be any," Vladimir Chkhikvishvili told journalists.
He said there were only lists of people who present a danger to Russia's security, including terrorists and drug smugglers.
Georgian parliamentarians refused to attend a CIS conference in St. Petersburg on November 16, saying the Russian Embassy had denied a Georgian delegation member an entry visa, blacklisting him for allegedly making politically incorrect comments about Russia.
