BUSAN (South Korea), November 18 (RIA Novosti) - The development of relations with China meets Russia's national interests, President Vladimir Putin said Friday.
Putin said at a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, that the two countries were developing intensive relations in all spheres.
"We also sense the intention of Chinese counterparts to develop such relations with Russia," he said.
Putin also said most Russian-Chinese joint events would take place in China next year.
Hu Jintao said, "We regard relations with Russia as a very important and most significant dimension of [our] foreign policy."
