KIEV, November 18 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a bilateral Plan of Action for 2005-2006 in Kiev Friday, the Ukrainian presidential press service said.
The plan is designed to develop relations between the two countries in five main areas, namely economic cooperation, high technology, aviation, space, and natural resources.
These are the spheres in which "the state and business circles can attain the most success," Yushchenko said.
The Ukrainian president highlighted the potential for cooperation in the transit and refining of oil and natural gas. The sides also reached an agreement on unifying tariff policy and forming a unified transit territory.
He also said the document would help to boost trade over the next two or three years by one third.
