GROZNY, November 19 (RIA Novosti) - Chechen Prime Minister Sergei Abramov, 33, who was seriously injured in a traffic accident Thursday night, has been transferred to a post-surgical ward and is in stable condition, his aide said Saturday.
"The patient was disconnected from an artificial respirator," Igor Tarasov said adding that his blood pressure, pulse and temperature were normal.
He also said Abramov's wife was allowed to see him.
Doctors at the hospital where Abramov is receiving treatment said his condition was improving, Tarasov said.
Abramov's car collided with a truck 40 kilometers west of Moscow when he was heading for an airport to fly to Chechnya.
