MOSCOW, November 21 (RIA Novosti) - Seven candidates have registered to run for Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) president in the December 22 elections.
The candidates are Leonid Tyagachyov, the current ROC president and the president of the Russian Mountain Skiing and Snowboarding; Vladimir Lisin, the president of the Russian Shooting Sports Federation; Irina Rodnina, the chairwoman of the all-Russian volunteer society "Sports Russia"; Valery Kuzin, one of the ROC's vice presidents; Alexander Popov, the famous swimmer and the president of the all-Russian Swimming Federation; Viktor Khotochkin, another ROC vice president; and Valentin Balakhnichev, the president of the all-Russian Athletics Federation.
