RABAT, November 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia hopes for relations with Germany and its new government to develop consistently, Russia's foreign minister said Tuesday.
"We wish the new cabinet success," Sergei Lavrov said shortly after Christian Democrat leader Angela Merkel became Germany's chancellor.
"We base our hopes on the stable and deep roots of Russian-German partnership," Lavrov said, adding that consistent relations were in the interests of both nations.
