MOSCOW, November 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's railroad monopoly Russian Railways (RZD) and Germany's Siemens signed a 5-year cooperation memorandum Friday, the RZD news service said.
The memorandum outlines cooperation in a wide range of issues, including the development and operation of high-speed trains, passenger cars, communication and electric equipment, locomotives, and railroad sub-stations, the company said.
The companies plan to establish a joint committee to coordinate strategy and working groups to oversee joint projects.
