MOSCOW, November 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia pledged to supply Belarus with 21.5 billion cu m of natural gas at $46.68 per 1,000 cu m, the Belarusian prime minister said Friday.
Sergei Sidorsky said, "A contract on gas supplies has been negotiated. It stipulates the sale of 21.5 billion cu m of gas at $46.68 per 1,000 cu m." He added that Russia and Belarus would discuss a signing date next week.
The prime minister said the contract would most likely be signed after December 20, since Russia had to conclude separate contracts by that date.
Sidorsky said that Belarus was fully meeting its current payments for gas supplies and pledged to payoff its previous debts.
