GROZNY, November 26 (RIA Novosti) - A group of PACE representatives has arrived in Chechnya prior to parliamentary elections due on Sunday. Saturday, PACE delegates are to meet with Chechen President Alu Alkhanov and Election Commission Chairman Ismail Baikhanov.
Later in the day, delegation members will meet with representatives of human rights organizations working in Chechnya.
Earlier, Siyabshakh Shapiev, a member of the Russian Central Election Commission, said that "European representatives who are planning to come to Chechnya but do not have observer status will be allowed to visit polling stations, subject to approval by the precinct commission head."
