MOSCOW, November 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov to find 15 billion rubles ($520 million) in housing certificates for servicemen Monday.
"We have already discussed this issues with some colleagues," Putin said. "I am asking you to ensure and coordinate with State Duma [lower house] deputies the additional allocation of 15 billion rubles," Putin said.
He said the current certificate price of 11,000 rubles ($380) per sq m was unacceptable since the average housing price was 29,000 rubles ($1,000).
Putin also criticized the construction of housing for servicemen.
