TBILISI, November 28 (RIA Novosti) - The issue of Georgia's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States is not closed yet, the Novosti-Georgia news agency quoted Georgian parliamentary speaker Nino Burdzhanadze as saying Monday.
"The issue of withdrawal from the CIS is not closed yet. It is continually being discussed. The decision on Georgia's withdrawal from the CIS will depend on how Russia's commitments on peacemaking operations and conflict settlement are implemented," Burdzhanadze said.
Last week, the country's opposition proposed seceding from the CIS.
