MOSCOW, November 28 (RIA Novosti) - The July 2006 summit of the Group of Eight leading industrialized nations in St. Petersburg will confirm Russia's international standing, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday.
Addressing a U.S.-Russian Business Cooperation Council meeting, Lavrov said Russia's increasingly important role in global affairs was a result of its consistent and predictable foreign policies, as well as domestic reforms.
"Russia has become a constant in the international arena," Lavrov said.
