MOSCOW, November 28 (RIA Novosti) - A court in Russia's Belgorod region in southwestern Russia has found a young woman guilty of giving beer to her two-year-old son, and imposed a fine of 20,000 rubles (about $700), the Russian Prosecutor General's Office said Monday.
Investigators said Olesya Grushko, 22, had neglected her son, often refusing him food and care, and had given him alcohol.
The child's father found the boy drunk at home, and took him to the local hospital, where he was diagnosed with alcoholic intoxication.
The court is considering whether to remove Grushko's maternal rights.
