MOSCOW, November 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russian energy giant Gazprom is set to select a third partner for the construction of the North European Gas Pipeline (NEG) by April 1, 2006, company's deputy head Alexander Medvedev said Wednesday.
"We are holding talks with Gas de France, BP, Transco and Gasuni," he said.
According to Medvedev, any or no company could be chosen from this list.
In September 2005, Gazprom signed agreements on the construction of the NEG pipeline under the Baltic Sea with German concerns BASF and E.ON AG.
"If a third partner wants to join the consortium he should offer something that we don't have," Medvedev said.
But he added, "We have almost everything."
