* The Russian government is planning to IPO the state-owned oil company Rosneft for $15 billion in 2006 on the London Stock Exchange, Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref said
* Russian energy giant Gazprom said:
- It will raise the natural gas price for Ukraine if the latter rejects the company's current proposal of $160 per 1,000 cubic meters
- Its export arm Gazexport plans to export more than 5 billion cu m of natural gas in 2006 to Britain, Belgium and the Netherlands
- It is set to select a third partner for the construction of the North European Gas Pipeline (NEG) in addition to German concerns BASF and E.ON AG by April 1, 2006
- The NEG will be registered before December 9, when construction is to officially begin
- The company will open negotiations with China National Petroleum Corporation on natural gas supplies to China in December
- It is planning to bring the Belarus segment of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline up to full capacity of 33 billion cu m in the fall and winter seasons of 2005-2006
- A second tanker with LNG chartered by Gazprom will arrive at the port of Cove Point in the U.S. December 7
* Gazprom is expected to become a full-fledged participant in the Sakhalin-II oil production project on the Sea of Okhotsk shelf, a senior local administration official said
* The Russian company Gidrospetsgaz has been selected as the general designer for the North-European Gas Pipeline (NEG), which will run under the Baltic Sea
* Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov slammed Russia's energy monopoly Unified Energy System head Anatoly Chubais saying that power supply cuts would be possible in Moscow in case of severe frost
* The Federal Arbitration Court of Moscow has revoked the decision to charge Russian beleaguered oil major Yukos $476 million in a foreign syndicated debt
