NAZRAN, December 3 (RIA Novosti) - A policeman was seriously wounded in the city of Nazran in the North Caucasian republic of Ingushetia, the republic's police said Saturday.
"The attack occurred at about 16:30 Moscow time in Nazran on Tsvetochnya Street. Unknown assailants fired on a Mercedes car carrying criminal investigation department officer Tutayev from assault rifles," the source said.
The policeman is in the city hospital's intensive care unit.
An investigation is underway.
