MOSCOW, December 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on ratifying the agreement on the Russian-Kazakh state border, the presidential press-service said Sunday.
The agreement provides for security on the Russian-Kazakh state border, effective fight against terrorism, drug-trafficking, illegal migration and smuggling.
The bill was adopted by the Russian parliament's lower house on November 16, 2005 and approved by the Federation Council (the upper house) on November 23, 2005.
