ASTANA, December 4 (RIA Novosti) - More than 70% of the electors in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan cast their votes in favor of the incumbent President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the first exit poll results suggested Sunday.
The exit poll conducted by the Moscow-based Center for Political Technologies showed that the opposition leader Zharmakhan Tyukbai had won 10% of the votes. The presidential elections in Kazakhstan began at 07:00 a.m. local time (01:00 a.m. GMT) this Sunday.
