MOSCOW, December 5 (RIA Novosti) - The head of the Russian Federal Energy Agency said Monday that he supports the construction of an oil refinery in the Far Eastern city of Nakhodka.
"We need to build a plant with a production rate of 90% and more," Sergei Oganesyan said speaking in the upper house of the Russian parliament.
The facility will be located near the Taishet-Nakhodka pipeline project to build a 2,500-mile oil pipeline from Taishet, near Russia's Lake Baikal, to the port of Nakhodka near the Sea of Japan.
