MOSCOW, December 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will exhibit a wide range of naval weaponry at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition-LIMA'2005 in Malaysia, opening Tuesday, a spokesperson for Russia's main arms exporter said Monday.
The naval part of the Russian exhibit includes Molnya missile boats, the Scorpion missile gunboat, Mangust patrol boats and other high-speed craft that are highly popular on the global market.
"These sea craft are very effective in the fight against sea piracy, drug-trafficking and terrorism, and attract a lot of interest in South East Asia," the agency's official said.
Aside from surface ships and submarines, Russia will exhibit various weapons systems for vessels that are being built at foreign shipyards, including CLUB-S and CLUB-N integrated missile systems, capable of hitting surface and underwater targets even under heavy ECM conditions.
