TBILISI, December 5 (RIA Novosti, Marina Kvaratskhelia) - The Georgian Foreign Ministry protested Monday the broadcast on Russian TV of footage featuring former head of the Georgian Special Service Igor Georgadze, who was charged in an attempt on former President Eduard Shevardnadze's life and forced into hiding in 1995.
"The Georgian Foreign Ministry regards broadcast on Russian TV of footage with Igor Georgadze, who has an international search warrant [out for his arrest], as premeditated provocation and an unfriendly action on the part of Russia," the ministry said in a statement.
"The ministry demands that Russia take immediate measures to arrest Igor Georgadze and extradite him to Georgia," the ministry said.
