MOSCOW, December 8 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is ready to discuss the border treaty with Latvia only after the country agrees to revoke the "explanatory declaration" to the treaty, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.
Latvia unilaterally adopted a declaration to the border treaty on April 26, giving the country the possibility to bring territorial claims against Russia in line with the expired 1920 treaty, the Russian ambassador in Latvia said earlier.
