KIEV, December 9 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has dismissed his chief aide, Oleksandr Tretyakov, and appointed him a non-staff adviser, the presidential Web site announced Friday.

At the beginning of September, former State Secretary Alexander Zinchenko accused Tretyakov and other senior officials of corruption.

Zinchenko resigned September 3, accusing Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Petro Poroshenko, leader of the Our Ukraine parliamentary faction Mykola Martynenko, and Tretyakov of corruption and concealing information from the president.

Poroshenko was later dismissed and Tretyakov was suspended until September 20.

Kiev's Pechersky Court found Zinchenko's claims against Tretyakov baseless and ordered that he withdraw his allegations within a month.
