BABAYEVO (Vologda Region), December 9 (RIA Novosti) - Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder is set to chair a committee of shareholders of the Russian-German joint venture for the implementation of the North European Gas Pipeline project, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said Friday.
Miller said at a ceremony marking the start of construction work on this major energy project the joint venture will have a supreme body, the council of shareholders, and a committee of shareholders.
Starting on January 1, 2006, Schroeder will also work as international policy advisor to Michael Ringier, the owner of the largest Swiss publishing house, Ringier.
The terms of his compensation have not been made public.
