Below is a review of the main events in Russia related to space and high technology in the week of December 5-9

* Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref said his ministry proposed creating five technology parks in Russia, in cooperation with the Education and Science Ministry and the Information and Communication Ministry

* The Coronas-F satellite finished its orbital mission, and almost completely disintegrated after reentering the Earth's atmosphere

* The Russian Federal Space Agency and the Indian Space Research Organization signed an agreement on the joint research of solar physics and solar-terrestrial connections under the Coronas-Photon satellite project. The Russian Coronas-Photon spacecraft is set to be launched in 2007

* Russian Information and Communications Minister Leonid Reiman said after meeting EU leaders in Brussels that Russia would like to coordinate its position on Internet control with the European Union, and that Russia and the EU were making good progress in their efforts to build a common information space

* Russia's Federal Space Agency said it would hold a closed tender among Russian space industry companies for the construction of a new Clipper manned spacecraft
